About Fidelity Residential Solutions
Fidelity Residential Solutions was founded in 1979 as a division of Safeco Title Insurance Company. Our purpose at that time was to assist the relocation industry by ordering title searches on a nationwide basis. In 1987, Chicago Title and Trust Company acquired Safeco Title Insurance Company. Safeco Title Insurance Company became known as Security Union Title Insurance Company. Recognizing that the needs of the relocation industry are ever changing, Safetrans added title clearance, document preparation, equity calculations and resale closing coordination to our list of services. In 1991, Chicago Title and Trust Family of Companies became the largest nationwide network of title offices, agents and approved attorneys by acquiring its third underwriter, Ticor Title Insurance Company.Today, Fidelity Residential Solutions provides service to more than 70 different relocation management companies, corporate relocation departments and national lender relocation departments. By using Fidelity Residential Solutions, you have access to approximately 400 company-owned offices and 3,700 title agents and approved attorneys. The title offices and attorneys in our database have been identified by Fidelity Residential Solutions as understanding the unique needs and requirements specific to the closing of a relocation transaction.
Fidelity Residential Solutions Staff
Fidelity Residential Solutions is proud of the extensive experience and knowledge of our staff. Continuing education and training through our corporate educational reimbursement program is a commitment made to all of our employees. Staff members are strongly encouraged to obtain their real estate license, paralegal certificate or to annually participate in the Minnesota Continuing Legal education courses or the American Land Title Association educational courses.
Automation at Fidelity Residential Solutions
Automation plays a key role at Fidelity Residential Solutions. We have a wide area network with satellite offices in Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, Norwell, MA, Tulsa, OK, and St. Louis. Our staff utilizes the Microsoft Office Suites family of products including Excel, Word and Microsoft Exchange. Our custom designed ROPT (Real Estate Order Processing and Tracking) software assists our staff by identifying the county-specific title office and closing office from our database. A click of a button prepares order confirmations and sets up tracking and reminders of job tasks. After receiving the title commitment from our local title office, another click of a button prepares state-specific documents, calculates and prints equity statements, completes the 1099 Form for IRS reporting and prepares the resale closing statement.
